The stocks that tend to move with Nvidia earnings, and the ones that don’t

Nvidia will report its fiscal second-quarter results on Wednesday after the bell. Wall Street analysts expect adjusted earnings per share of $2.10 and revenue of $92.18 billion, nearly double last year’s levels. The options market is pricing in a roughly 5% move in either direction following the release. CNBC Pro’s analysis shows that Advanced Micro Devices has the strongest correlation with Nvidia (0.75), followed by Vertiv (0.67) and Onto Innovation (0.64), while defensive names such as Pfizer, McDonald’s and Verizon tend to move in the opposite direction. This inverse relationship reflects broader market rotations rather than a direct impact from Nvidia’s results on these companies.
