Automotive and industrial technology group Aptiv announced an expanded collaboration with Nvidia to develop production-ready edge AI platforms. Aptiv shares surged 6.2% intraday following the announcement. The partnership leverages Nvidia’s Jetson Orin Nano 2 robotics computer, delivering up to twice the inference performance while cutting power consumption by roughly 40%, with a maximum capacity of 67 TOPS. Aptiv contributes on the software side with platforms compliant with the European Cyber Resilience Act. Targeted sectors include robotics, industrial automation, and automotive, with development cycles of 12 to 24 months before meaningful revenue.
