THORChain generated $3.01 million in system income in September, its highest level since March 2025. Roughly 63% of that amount, or $1.9 million, was produced in just five days (Sept. 25-29), during which $1.37 billion in swap volume flowed through the protocol. The exceptional activity was fueled by funds linked to the Bitget exploit, representing 57% of the monthly swap volume. Active wallets only grew from 23,500 to 25,000, suggesting the surge reflected unusual flows rather than a comparable expansion in the user base. The Bitget hack moved approximately $387.5 million to attacker-controlled addresses.
