The Solana Foundation published its October 2026 ecosystem review on November 6, two months after two major protocol upgrades went live. On October 9, the final stage of SIMD-0525 reduced target slot times from 400 to 200 milliseconds, while on October 21, Alpenglow replaced TowerBFT on the mainnet, targeting roughly 150-millisecond finality. The Foundation also reported $5 billion in tokenized real-world assets, approximately $60 billion in decentralized-exchange trading volume and 14 million addresses holding stablecoins. J.P. Morgan Asset Management, Securitize, Ondo, Samsung Wallet, Fiserv and Western Union are mentioned in the review, although some products remain planned, geographically limited or at the pilot stage. Network performance will need to be assessed through sustained uptime, consistent finality under load, integration reliability and operating costs.
