Solana processed $5 trillion in stablecoin volume from the start of the year through October 22, 2026, with more than two months still remaining. In September, the network’s stablecoin supply reached a record $17.51 billion, while it recorded 557 million transfers. Despite holding about 5% of global supply, Solana captured 32% to 36% of adjusted worldwide transfer volume during peak months in 2026. Western Union and other payment companies are exploring or expanding their usage, while Samsung plans to integrate USDC transfers into its Galaxy wallet, potentially reaching 82 million devices. The Alpenglow upgrade is expected to reduce transaction finality to approximately 150 milliseconds, but trading bots and arbitrage can inflate volume, and several integrations remain plans or pilots.
