Open Standard’s OUSD stablecoin gained $626.3 million in market capitalization over the past week, with circulating supply reaching approximately $666 million to $668 million shortly after its September 30, 2026 launch. The consortium-backed token counts major partners including Coinbase, Mastercard, Shopify, Stripe and Visa, with founding partners having committed over $1 billion in liquidity support. Reserves are held at BlackRock, Lead Bank and BNY Mellon. OUSD distinguishes itself through a revenue-sharing model that routes reserve earnings to partner businesses instead of retaining them at the issuer level. Despite this growth, OUSD represents a fraction of a total stablecoin market exceeding $300 billion, dominated by USDT and USDC.
