After a critical bug was discovered in Limit Break’s Payment Processor V2, whitehats rescued 3,832 NFTs by transferring them to a secure wallet. The vulnerability affected NFTs listed on Magic Eden’s EVM marketplace between February and October 2024, when the platform used this payment contract. Magic Eden confirmed that the bug did not impact live listings and has since dropped the contract. The platform has reached out to Limit Break to explore additional protective measures, including pausing transfers. Users who traded during the affected window are advised to revoke their old approvals.
