IBM has launched a beta integration enabling its Digital Asset Haven platform to connect financial institutions to Swift’s blockchain-based shared ledger. Banks can now send instructions for tokenized-deposit transactions using existing ISO 20022 payment message formats without requiring blockchain-specific interfaces. Seventeen first-mover institutions are already testing the model. IBM is also introducing an on-premises version of Digital Asset Haven using IBM Z and LinuxONE infrastructure, providing banks with greater control over their data. Swift connects more than 12,500 financial institutions across over 200 markets.
