PR #5736, which protects validator deposits from potential misallocation during the Glamsterdam upgrade, was merged into Ethereum’s specifications on October 26. The change now sorts each pending deposit according to its withdrawal credentials, ensuring that a deposit intended for a validator is not credited to a block builder using the same key. Initially rejected on October 19 for lack of client-team support, the proposal was reopened on October 23 at Lido’s request and approved after further testing. No losses were reported because the flaw affected only rules not yet deployed on the mainnet, although Glamsterdam remains in testing before its public activation.
