Winklevoss twins put roughly $26 million behind pro-Trump super PAC this cycle

Gemini co-founders Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss have contributed a combined total of approximately $26 million this election cycle, mostly to MAGA Inc., the super PAC backing Donald Trump. Reuters’ analysis of Federal Election Commission filings shows that each twin gave nearly $13 million, placing them among the largest crypto-executive donors reviewed. Altogether, ultra-wealthy executives from the crypto industry have spent more than $56 million on crypto-friendly candidates and crypto-focused political committees, while the industry’s total political spending stands at $175 million. After each twin gave roughly $1 million in Bitcoin to Trump’s 2024 campaign, they sent $21.3 million, or 188 BTC, to the Digital Freedom Fund in August 2025, followed by more than $10 million in Bitcoin to MAGA Inc. in June 2026, weeks after CFTC actions connected to a prior Gemini settlement; this shift also marks their move away from bipartisan support toward Trump-aligned and Republican causes.
