The Digital Sovereignty Alliance (DSA) announced that its white paper “Modern Foundations of Personal Finance: Literacy and Infrastructure in the Digital Economy” has been selected as one of five winning papers in the DC Fintech Week 2026 Call for Papers and designated as the 2026 Featured Research. Written by Molly Woodman, Senior Policy Advisor at DSA, with contributions from Adrian Wall, Emily Ekshian and Maghan Lusk, the paper examines how the transition to digital financial systems is outpacing Americans’ financial literacy. The study reveals that risk comprehension represents the most significant gap and that access inequalities affect households differently. It advocates for parallel advancement of regulation and financial education. The DC Fintech Week 2026 event will take place October 13-16 in Washington, D.C.
