The Winklevoss twins filed a preliminary S-1 registration with the SEC on October 6th for a spot Zcash ETF to trade on Nasdaq under the ticker WINK. Their associated platform Gemini Trust Company, which was among the first regulated U.S. platforms to offer Zcash trading and custody, would serve as the fund’s custodian. The proposed ETF would charge investors a 0.25% annual sponsor fee, equivalent to $2.50 per year for every $1,000 invested. Grayscale’s ZCSH ETF, currently the only live U.S. spot ZEC fund, reached $1 billion in AUM on September 24th, while Bitwise has also filed for its own Zcash ETF.
