The official Dogecoin community announced the launch of the DogeOS Chikyū public testnet, an EVM-compatible L2 application layer built on ZK-rollup technology. Developed by the team behind the MyDoge wallet, this network reaches approximately 300 TPS compared to 30 TPS on the base Dogecoin blockchain, while maintaining security through L1. DOGE will be the sole native token of the L2 network, eliminating the need for a separate token. The project raised $6.9 million in a seed round with Polychain Capital as the lead investor, and several DeFi and gaming applications are already deployed on the testnet.
