The certification, formalized on August 31, 2026, qualifies the device for the PCI-SIG Integrators List, assuring hyperscalers and system builders that the hardware meets strict electrical and protocol standards. The Toucan handles 16 lanes at 64.0 GT/s with PAM4 signaling while consuming only 11 W for x16 operations and maintaining latency under 7 ns. The device also supports CXL 3.x and maintains backward compatibility with earlier PCIe generations. Vishal Shah, Credo’s VP of Product, framed the 64.0 GT/s milestone as validation of signal integrity and interoperability for next-generation AI infrastructure.
