Anthropic is finalizing a redesign of its Claude iOS app using Apple’s Liquid Glass design language, which introduces translucent and fluid materials instead of opaque panels. The update, set to coincide with iOS 27 released around September 14, 2026, also includes simplified navigation and complementary features such as widgets and shortcuts. User feedback from testers evaluating updates rolled out since mid-September 2026 has been largely positive, with improved flow between conversations and settings. Claude joins a growing roster of third-party apps adopting this new design language, alongside Brave, WhatsApp, Reddit, Salesforce and Darkroom. This represents the most significant visual shift in iOS since the introduction of flat design in 2013.
