The Opentensor Foundation has launched quantum-resistant wallets for the TAO token. They offer three post-quantum signature schemes: ML-DSA-65, a standard selected by the US National Institute of Standards and Technology, and Falcon-512 and Falcon-1024, whose more compact signatures reduce transaction size to approximately 0.7-1.3 KB, compared with 3.3 KB for ML-DSA-65. An optional feature automatically replaces the signing key after each transaction, while the address, balance and stake remain linked to the same account. Existing wallets continue to work, but adopting key rotation requires registration and a one-time deposit of 0.2 TAO, permanently locked. At around $225, TAO remains approximately 70.4% below its 2024 record high of more than $760.
