Bitget recorded $231 million in deposits over a 24-hour period on September 30, a figure roughly 6% below its August daily average of $245 million. This performance came six days after the exchange suffered one of the largest centralized exchange hacks of 2026, losing an estimated $387.5 to $390 million when attackers exploited spoofed internal transfer requests. Bitget froze withdrawals on September 24, began a phased reopening starting September 28, and recorded a record single-day net outflow of $463 million on reopening day. The Proof of Reserves report published September 29 showed a reserve ratio of 131% across 19 assets, meaning the exchange holds $1.31 in reserves for every $1.00 in user deposits.
