Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, has warned its users about a surge in phishing attacks via text messages. These fraudulent messages are designed to appear as legitimate security alerts, claiming account settings have been changed or suspicious activity detected to pressure users into clicking malicious links. The exchange stated it would never ask users to tap a link in a text message to verify or secure their accounts. Binance is urging users to enable the Withdrawal Address Whitelist feature and the Anti-Phishing Code to reduce the risk of falling victim to these scams.
