Cobo announced the permanent closure of its consumer wallet app Cobo Wallet, scheduled for December 1, 2026 at 00:00 UTC+8. Users must withdraw all assets before November 30, 2026 at 23:59 UTC+8, or face a 2% monthly management fee on remaining assets with a $100 minimum. The company cited a strategic business adjustment as the reason for the shutdown. The management fees will take effect on January 1, 2027, effectively wiping out small balances in a single billing cycle. The closure applies only to the consumer app; institutional custody and Wallet-as-a-Service operations will continue as normal.
