Anthropic projects that its Claude models will lead 80 to 90 percent of frontier AI model training by 2027. Claude’s contribution to this development went from 0 percent at the beginning of 2026 to 26 percent by August 2026. On October 2, 2026, the company announced the Claude Frontier Academy, a 100 million dollar program to train 10,000 engineers by the end of 2027, with partnerships including Accenture and Morgan Stanley. Anthropic is also targeting approximately 9.5 gigawatts of compute capacity by the end of 2027, relying on cloud partnerships with AWS and Google.
