Three armed men broke into a villa in Nong Prue, near Pattaya, Thailand, on the night of October 6. The assailants stole 150,000 baht in cash and three Rolex watches, then forced a foreign resident to transfer approximately $820,000 in USDT to a wallet they controlled. Total damages are estimated at nearly 37 million baht, including all stolen goods. Thai police are examining onchain transactions and surveillance footage to identify the suspects and trace the stolen funds. The investigation is also looking into a possible Chinese nationality of the perpetrators, with no confirmation at this stage.
