The advocacy organization Pretty Good Policy for Zcash (PGPZ) has registered a lobbyist in Washington, Divij Pandya, to promote the interests of the privacy-focused cryptocurrency. The group plans to lobby on the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act and two digital asset tax proposals. PGPZ, launched in June 2024 and growing out of Pretty Good Policy for Crypto created in 2022 by Electric Coin Co., received a $750,000 grant from Zcash Community Grants to fund its first year of operations. Zcash is also planning a mainnet upgrade called NU7 in November with 25-second blocks.
