Malaysian police seized 30 Bitcoin mining machines and arrested two men in Seri Iskandar, Perak state. The mining operation was powered by an illegal electrical connection to the grid, with assistance from the national electricity provider Tenaga Nasional Berhad. The case falls under Section 427 of the Malaysian Penal Code and Section 37(1) of the Electricity Supply Act 1990, which allows the provider to claim payment for lost revenue. The amount of electricity stolen has not been disclosed and the responsibility of the two men remains to be determined.
