Binance’s SAFU emergency reserve fund for users now holds over $1.27 billion in Bitcoin, representing approximately $270 million in unrealized profit. In February 2026, Binance converted roughly $1 billion in stablecoins into 15,000 BTC, with the conversion completed on February 12 following a large purchase of 4,545 BTC when Bitcoin traded at approximately $67,000. Compared to the initial investment of about $1.005 billion, the position is now worth over $1.27 billion. Binance has committed to maintaining the fund above $800 million and restoring it to $1 billion if it falls below that threshold. The fund’s wallet is now public and verifiable on the blockchain.
