UK precision engineering firm Renishaw reported a 32% jump in adjusted profit to £168 million for the fiscal year ending June 2026, with revenue rising 14% to £815.8 million. Its Position Measurement segment, which makes precision encoders for semiconductor manufacturing equipment, generated £260.9 million in revenue, up 26% year on year, with adjusted operating profit surging 53% to £71.5 million and a margin of 27.4%. CEO Will Lee attributed the results to escalating AI chip demand, particularly for large language models and inference workloads driving semiconductor manufacturers to invest heavily in new fabrication capacity. Renishaw shares have rallied approximately 58% over the past 12 months, with the board recommending a final dividend of 65.2p per share, bringing the total ordinary dividend to 82.0p, up 5%, plus a special interim dividend of 70p.
