Nearly $20 million in XRP was stolen from 6,678 wallets across six attack waves between September 15 and 20. DCENT, the maker of the App Wallet software, is investigating how signing keys were exposed to enable the unauthorized transfers. More than 5.67 million XRP was routed through THORChain to be exchanged for assets on other blockchains. The company is working with Korean authorities and exchanges to attempt to freeze the funds. DCENT is urging affected users to move their assets to a new wallet created with a brand new recovery phrase.
