Westinghouse Electric Company has confidentially filed for a US IPO targeting a valuation of over $50 billion, submitting its paperwork to the SEC on July 31. Brookfield Renewable Partners and Cameco Corp. acquired the company for approximately $8 billion in late 2023, meaning their investment would appreciate more than sixfold in under three years. Westinghouse’s AP1000 reactor technology powers over 57% of operational nuclear reactors globally, with a pipeline of up to 91 deployment opportunities. At a $50 billion valuation, Brookfield’s 51% stake would be worth approximately $25.5 billion, while Cameco’s 49% would be worth roughly $24.5 billion.
