Meta launched its personal AI agent Muse on September 8, which accumulated over 900,000 downloads in its first week and between 2.5 and 2.8 million installs within two weeks, climbing to the top of both the iOS App Store and Google Play charts in the United States. Meta shares surged 11% in a single day following the launch, the company’s largest one-day gain since April 2025. Unlike typical chatbot assistants, Muse is designed to be proactive, autonomously executing multi-step tasks such as sending emails, booking travel, and managing personal goals within a secure environment called the Muse Secure VM. The pricing model includes a free tier alongside two paid subscriptions at $20 per month and $100 per month.
