ZetaChain proposes shutting down its L1, migrating ZETA token to Solana

ZetaChain submitted a governance proposal on September 17 asking ZETA token holders to approve the permanent shutdown of its Layer-1 blockchain and the conversion of the token into a native SPL token on Solana at a 1:1 ratio. The total supply of 2.1 billion tokens will be preserved, along with vesting schedules and the core application Anuma AI which has accumulated over 300,000 users. This decision follows a security exploit in April 2026 that forced the project to disable its interoperability services by June 30. ZETA’s price climbed approximately 11% and trading volume surged 40% following the migration announcement.
