Every Kraken IPO plan has failed

Kraken has delayed its initial public offering to the second quarter of 2027, marking the sixth consecutive postponement since the cryptocurrency exchange first announced its IPO plans in 2021. In May 2026, co-CEO Arjun Sethi stated at the Consensus conference that Kraken was « about 80% ready » for an IPO, before the company pushed back its plans again just weeks later. The firm submitted a draft IPO document to the SEC in November 2025 but announced in March 2026 that it was putting the project on hold. Kraken shares still do not trade on any public stock exchange.
