SpaceX will invest $100 billion to build its largest launch facility in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana. Construction will begin in 2027 with the first flight targeted for 2029. The project is expected to create 3,000 direct jobs with an average salary of $92,600, which is 192% above the local average, as well as 8,100 indirect jobs. SpaceX will pay $25 million per year for 25 years to local authorities, plus $20 million upfront, totaling over $820 million in local payments.
