Jamie Dimon, CEO of JPMorgan Chase, has launched a new structured initiative to address systemic AI risks across financial industries. He specifically named Anthropic’s Mythos AI model as a « real issue » requiring government oversight, comparing uncontrolled access to advanced AI to giving individuals « ballistic missiles. » The bank launched its Security and Resiliency Initiative in October 2025, a 1.5 trillion dollar program over ten years covering AI, cybersecurity, and quantum computing, including 10 billion dollars in venture capital. JPMorgan spends approximately 2 billion dollars annually on AI technology alone. For the crypto sector, these AI governance standards could become de facto requirements for any tokenized product touching traditional financial infrastructure.
