Top-seeded Yandex secured their spot in The International 2026 playoff bracket with a 2-1 series win over Team Liquid in Shanghai on August 14. After dominating game one 52 kills to 27, Yandex watched Liquid even the series with a narrow 39-37 victory before closing out the decider 38-10. The win advances Yandex, the highest-ranked team entering TI2026 with 44,133 ranking points accumulated over 12 months, to the playoff stage. For the first time in tournament history, no Chinese teams advanced to the playoffs at a TI held in Shanghai.
