The feature allows multiple transactions to be bundled into an atomic group where they all succeed or fail together, enabling more complex financial operations. An earlier version of Batch was halted after a critical bug was discovered, prompting validators to coordinate and reset the activation countdown. Atomic transaction groups serve as a basic building block for sophisticated financial applications such as trading and tokenization. XRPL amendments require more than 80% support from trusted validators for two consecutive weeks before activation, and the network is now closer to enabling this upgrade after the initial setback.
