The Wyoming Stable Token Commission has migrated the entire cross-chain infrastructure of its state stablecoin FRNT to Chainlink CCIP, abandoning LayerZero following an internal security audit. This historic decision makes Wyoming the first American government entity to publicly replace a blockchain infrastructure component for explicitly documented security reasons. The FRNT, backed by US Treasury bills and overcollateralized at 102%, remains available on eight networks including Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Solana. Chainlink was selected for its multilayer architecture including SOC 2 Type 2 certification and validation by at least 16 independent node operators per transaction. According to Coindesk, nearly 15 billion dollars in value have already migrated from LayerZero to Chainlink CCIP in a broader sector trend.
