On September 25, white hat security researcher Quit, also VP of Blockchain at Yuga Labs, rescued 23,155 NFTs worth approximately $6 million after discovering a critical bug in LimitBreak’s Payment Processor V2 contract. The vulnerability allowed an attacker to drain NFTs from hundreds of wallets, and since the V2 contract could not be paused, Quit proceeded with a white hat operation to secure the exposed assets. Owners will be able to claim their NFTs after revoking the vulnerable approvals, but Quit was unable to recover 660 WETH, worth approximately $1.7 million, that remained at risk. On the same day, exchange platform Bitget was hacked with over $351 million in losses.
