OpenAI is reportedly racing to raise about $30 billion before Anthropic’s expected mid-November IPO. Two people familiar with the matter told Reuters the round could value the ChatGPT maker at more than $1.4 trillion. SoftBank, Abu Dhabi-based MGX and other existing backers are in talks to join the funding round. This race comes as Anthropic prepares to file its IPO documentation.
