Czech hardware wallet manufacturer Trezor has announced a reduction of its authorized reseller network, a measure taken after the discovery of compromised Ledger devices sold by reseller CryptoBilis in South-East Asia. On the same day, researcher Joe Grand claimed to have identified malicious components in two Trezor devices, a Trezor One and a Model T, purchased on TikTok and Facebook Marketplace outside the official network. The devices allegedly had their main chip replaced to generate recovery phrases known to hackers. According to independent estimates reported by CoinDesk, losses linked to compromised Ledger devices could reach 93.2 million dollars across more than 300 wallets. Trezor has not confirmed these discoveries and has not specified the number of resellers affected or the countries involved.
