Venus Protocol launched its Liquidity Hub on BNB Chain, enabling users to earn yields on stablecoin deposits while simultaneously using them as collateral for borrowing. Depositors receive ERC-4626 tokens (vhUSDT, vhUSDC) that accrue yield while serving as collateral with an 80% collateral factor, allowing up to $8,000 in borrowing against a $10,000 vhUSDT deposit. On September 24, the protocol expanded by integrating real-world assets through a partnership with Centrifuge, including tokenized fund products offering exposure to US Treasury yields (JTRSY) and AAA-rated collateralized loan obligation credit returns (JAAA). Venus Protocol’s TVL has ranged between $1.4 billion and $2.8 billion in recent quarters.
