Despite the CLARITY Act failing to pass in the Senate last month, U.S. regulators continue to advance crypto and tokenization through initiatives under their existing authority. The SEC has notably approved an « Innovation Exemption » for tokenized stocks and a tokenized securities proposal. Markets now assign only a 5% probability to the CLARITY Act being signed into law by 2026, down from 6% a week ago. Observers are watching whether President Donald Trump and Senate Banking Committee Chairman Tim Scott will attempt to revive the legislation.
