Unitree Robotics IPO reportedly 8,000x oversubscribed as investors scramble for humanoid robot exposure

Unitree Robotics, China’s first pure-play humanoid robot maker to list on mainland exchanges, saw its Shanghai STAR Market IPO oversubscribed by up to 8,288 times. The company issued approximately 40.45 million shares at 150.8 yuan each, raising 6.1 billion yuan (about $900 million) at a valuation of 61 billion yuan (roughly $9 billion). Around 9.8 million orders totaling roughly 8.1 trillion yuan ($1.2 trillion) in subscription demand were recorded, with a lot-winning rate of approximately 0.018%. The proceeds will fund robot software and hardware development, new product launches, and manufacturing capacity expansion.
