Treasury yields tread water with all eyes on Kevin Warsh’s Jackson Hole keynote speech

Treasury yields remained stable Friday morning as global investors awaited the highly anticipated keynote speech from Federal Reserve Chair Kevin Warsh at the Jackson Hole symposium. The 10-year Treasury yield stood at 4.676%, the 30-year Treasury yield at 5.199% and the 2-year Treasury yield at 4.229%. Warsh, who took office in May for a four-year term, has so far shared very little public commentary on the economy or monetary policy outlook. Some analysts expect him to focus on broad themes rather than specific details about the future path of monetary policy.
