Treasury yields rise as markets await Warsh’s Jackson Hole speech

US Treasury yields rose for a second consecutive day, with an increase of one to two basis points across most maturities. The 30-year yield reached 5.19%, its highest level since 2007. Investors are anticipating a potentially hawkish tone from Federal Reserve Chairman Kevin Warsh, who is scheduled to speak Friday at the Jackson Hole symposium. The Fed maintained its federal funds rate at 3.5% to 3.75%, while markets anticipate a quarter-point hike by year-end with roughly a one-third chance of a September increase.
