The letter rests on three pillars: making cybersecurity a leadership-level priority, sharing threat intelligence between competitors, and funding protection for critical infrastructure such as hospitals and water treatment facilities. This coalition is particularly notable because it includes Hugging Face, an open-source AI platform directly competing with OpenAI, alongside traditionally rival players like CrowdStrike and Palo Alto Networks. The crypto and Web3 sector is also urged to strengthen defenses against AI-enhanced exploits targeting decentralized protocols, DeFi platforms and exchanges.
