Travala, a crypto travel platform, has launched a permanent strategic reserve for its AVA token. The company commits to matching the AVA Foundation’s monthly open-market buybacks, effectively doubling the purchase volume each cycle. For the inaugural cycle, the foundation repurchased 369,881.04 AVA and Travala matched that amount, bringing the combined total to 739,762.08 tokens. Tokens placed in the reserve will be held permanently and will not be sold or transferred, though this is not a token burn on the blockchain. The foundation reports having historically repurchased more than 4.8 million AVA through its existing program.
