The Fed minutes are coming — and they’re more crucial now as Warsh limits his communication

The minutes from the Federal Reserve’s July meeting will be released tomorrow at 2 p.m. Eastern time. Investors are hoping they will shed light on the central bank’s thinking about the outlook for interest rates. At their July meeting, Federal Reserve officials voted to keep rates steady in a range of 3.5% to 3.75%. Three of the 12 voting officials dissented and wanted to hike. Fed Chairman Kevin Warsh raised more questions than answers at his post-meeting press conference, leaving investors starved for information in a new era of limited communication from the central bank.
