MediaMarktSaturn has removed Ledger devices from its shelves across Europe following the discovery of tampered hardware in stores. A malicious implant reads the seed phrase displayed on screen and sends it via LTE network, according to Ledger’s explanation. Customers who purchased a Ledger device in-store are advised to verify their device’s integrity and consider transferring their funds as a security precaution.
