Supermicro is partnering with SpaceXAI to build one of the largest AI data centers in the world, targeting gigawatt-scale capacity. SpaceXAI is the entity formed from SpaceX’s acquisition of xAI in February 2026, with targets of 2 GW of computational power by end of 2026 and nearly 10 GW by late 2027. Supermicro reported over $60 billion in new quarterly orders in fiscal Q4 2026, reflecting massive demand from hyperscale clients. The project relies on Nvidia Vera Rubin NVL72 systems, with each rack integrating 72 liquid-cooled GPUs, enabling deployments from 5 megawatts to full gigawatt capacity.
