Solflare suspended SOL staking rewards after its validator operator lost control of the security keys. According to the team, no user funds were lost: delegated SOL remains in the holder’s staking account and is controlled solely by the holder’s keys. Solflare plans to add a new validator and migrate delegations, with compensation for affected users to be provided through its app, but the number of people affected and the amount of SOL to be migrated remain unknown. Meanwhile, staking demand weakened in October, with net outflows reaching 2.4 million SOL, worth nearly $300 million, as SOL fell 15% from about $123 to $105.
