Ripple has burned 15 million RLUSD (Ripple USD) tokens worth approximately $15 million, according to a Sept. 10 announcement. Blockchain data shows that these tokens were transferred from the RLUSD Treasury to the Ethereum null address. The stablecoin’s market capitalization stood at approximately $2.42 billion on Sept. 10, compared with $1.76 billion on Aug. 18, marking significant growth. Ripple had also carried out several minting and burning operations in the preceding days, with amounts ranging between 10 and 20 million RLUSD. In August, the group backed an institutional credit fund being developed with Clearpool and Cicada Partners, intended to operate on the XRP Ledger.
